A trio of larger-than-life bronze tradespeople stands together at the edge of McEuen Park: an Idaho Lumberjack, an American Worker, and an Idaho Farmer. All three were sculpted by local artist Terry Lee, the same hand behind the Mudgy Moose statues. The lumberjack was commissioned by the Idaho Forest Group and dedicated in August 2019 as a tribute to the region's loggers.
The story
At the corner of 6th and Front Avenue, right at the boundary of McEuen Park, you’ll run into a trio of larger-than-life bronze figures holding quiet court over the grass: an Idaho Lumberjack, an American Worker, and an Idaho Farmer. Every statue in the cluster was crafted by local sculptor Terry Lee—the same artist responsible for Coeur d'Alene's scattered Mudgy and Millie bronze moose figures. The Idaho Lumberjack was the final addition to the crew, commissioned by the Idaho Forest Group and dedicated in August 2019 as an explicit nod to the loggers who worked the surrounding pine and fir forests.
