The story
In the ground-floor lobby of 1010 Brickell Avenue, surrounded by corporate glass and sleek tile, stands a red London phone box that seems completely out of context. Step inside, lift the receiver, and dial the unlisted password on the phone. The back wall of the booth unlatches and swings open, revealing a dark, hidden corridor leading directly into a 1920s-style lounge tucked behind the office tower.
Inside, exposed brick, leather Chesterfield sofas, and a custom walk-in humidor replace the sterile corporate aesthetic outside. While the venue operates in part as a private club with monthly membership tiers, non-members can gain access if they know the entry code—usually secured from nearby hotel concierges or members in the know—and abide by the strict dress code.
