The story
In 1918, this 16-acre industrial monolith on Indy's Near Eastside was built to manufacture automotive components. Today, the concrete corridors and cavernous bays of what was long known as the Circle City Industrial Complex have been carved into the city's largest hive of working artists and independent makers. Managed by Teagen Development, the raw brick-and-steel layout houses hundreds of studios, shops, and production spaces rather than corporate offices.
You won't find white-cube gallery polish here. Instead, you're navigating an indoor grid where the scent of grain and barrels from 8th Day Distillery drifts past heavy fire doors, and small artisan shops like Curio Constructs set up alongside painters, sculptors, and woodworkers.
