The story

In 2017, Graeme Deishl and his daughters set out to build a multi-room escape experience entirely from scratch in a downtown Anchorage basement, tucked off 5th Avenue and G Street right next to Uncle Joe's Pizzeria. Rather than buying off-the-shelf puzzle kits or relying on standard combination padlocks, they built their own physical props, mechanical triggers, custom sound effects, and video elements. The resulting footprint is billed as the largest escape room facility in Alaska.

What makes the subterranean setup unusual isn't just its physical scale—it's the cinematic architecture woven into the gameplay. Flagship rooms like Raven's Eye and Conjured Kingdoms run up to 90 minutes and feature branching choose-your-own-adventure narratives where your group's choices directly alter the outcome. In Raven's Eye, an hour-long original film plays inside the room as both a live clock and narrative spine, forcing you to navigate a missing-person investigation that culminates in a grim final decision: risk sacrificing yourself to save a kidnapped girl named Abigail, or prioritize your own escape and leave her behind.
