The story
Helena’s Tricia Street holds a 20,000-square-foot hall of kinetic noise nestled right next door to Sleeping Giant Lanes bowling alley. Flying Giant Adventure Park opened its doors in early 2021 after two years of buildout, dropping an expansive indoor obstacle ecosystem onto the local landscape.
The layout solves the mixed-age boredom problem by stacking distinct play zones vertically and horizontally under one roof. Lower levels feature a three-story soft play maze for toddlers, while the upper air space is carved up by an elevated ropes course, climbing walls of varying difficulty, and a sky zip line that glides high above the trampoline grids.
What keeps it interesting for the adult crowd is its split personality. While the daylight hours belong to birthday parties, Friday and Saturday nights flip the venue into Cosmic mode with black lights and music. Right past the trampolines, dedicated axe-throwing bays and indoor batting cages give grownups a reason to stick around well after the toddler crowd calls it a night.
What it's like
Expect high energy and plenty of noise. By day, the floor is dominated by kids tearing through the soft play structure and bounding off the trampolines. If you are showing up without young kids, target a Friday or Saturday night during Cosmic mode when the overhead fluorescents drop, the black lights illuminate the obstacles, and the music turns up. Head straight for the axe bays or batting cages for a quieter pocket away from the main trampoline floor. Always confirm their current operating hours online before pulling into the parking lot.
